Suela and Kelland wedding was another intimate yet meaningful wedding.
Of course not just for Suela and Kelland, but for me and Lupita as well
Somehow, we are fortunate enough to make these cool friends that require our services,then we end up celebrating with them.
It's work, but we hardly call it work when we are having so much fun.
and that's exactly what happens when you end up shooting your friend's wedding,
you just have fun.Seriously, we love our job.

Annette and Jesus Engagement

Annette & Jesus Engagement was at Mount Lemmon.I was a fortunate guess for this engagement that
my friend Dago from Esquer Photography had to do for his friends Annette and Jesus.
Earlier on the day it was really cloudy, kind of dark, but we decided to go anyway and take our chances,
I believe we made the right decision. The weather was great and the sky was the best background we could ask for.
We were able to get some awesome pictures. Of course we had great models. Judge for yourself:

Silvia and Mike wedding was the Saturday when the weather decided to be all tough and make it exciting for all of us photographers
but we had a team of photographers that worked great together and made our bride and groom look their best in their wedding pictures.
Silvia is photogenic as it is, but check out how beautiful she came out on her wedding day. Mike wasn't bad either, jk Mike, you look good!
Yes, it maybe silly to say it myself; however, we did great, I'm very proud and very thankful to my second shooters for that day:

Silvia had the best attitude towards the challenge for the day: strong winds and heavy rain,
she was so willing to try different shots at the always beautiful Tanque Verde Guest Ranch

Patricia call me for a special birthday, his son's 15th birthday.
Alan Emmanuel wanted to have a big party so Patricia decided that a Quinceañero party was the right thing to do for Alan.
It turned out to be a great event, Alan celebrated his birthday at the Gem Center along with his family and friends.

After the ceremony I took Alan to Tucson downtown for a few pictures.

Wedding at Corona Ranch

Morgan & Joe selected Corona Ranch for their wedding; it was a perfect setting for Morgan's wedding as it was a historic ceremony,
Morgan was the 3rd generation and 7th person to wear her family's 55 year old wedding gown; the bead work was all handcrafted by her great grandmother.
Morgan's engagement ring also carries history as it was designed and worn by Joe's late step-grandmother.

This time our model was a beautiful baby girl named Jalena,
she was kind of shy at first but the magic of a playground usually gets a child to smile and have fun (don't you miss that?);
Jalena was so precious at all times that it was hard to stop taking pictures. Just look at her smile and her inocence... can't help it but smile along with her.
So whenever you feel you need to smile, come back and see Jalena, I'm sure she will do the same for you as the playground did for her.

Model Session with Taryn

Taryn was the perfect model for this photoshoot, since she was a great self-directing model,
her experience help us concentrate on shooting without telling her how to pose. Thank you Taryn!
We did our shooting at The Westin La Paloma Tucson, it offers an awesome set for evening pics.
The pictures came out great. Take a look at a few of them:

We first took some shots inside the lobby, we found this corner and Taryn made it look even prettier.

Then we went outside form some evening pictures.

We were lucky enough to get those clouds at sunset that get that orange brightness as the sun is settting...
yes, those are the actual colors in the sky. Tucson can offer really beautiful sunset sometimes.

Julian's First Communion - Family Portrait

Christie & Scott at Reflections at the Buttes

Christie & Scott had their wedding at Reflections at the Buttes. Scott wore a traditional Scottish Kilt.
It has been claimed that a man in a kilt is a man and a half and Scott showed us just that;
of course, without escaping some harassment from his groomsman. He looked good though!
But Christie looked even better by wearing a beautiful smile that makes her look just outstanding.
We have some very nice pictures of the event. Enjoy!

This picture shows the Dress Sporran Scott was wearing. The Sporran was an attire to complement the Kilt,
since the Kilt had no pockets the Sporran was used to carry small items in it.
This one though was just a purely formal dress item that goes with Scott's Kilt.

Here is Christie showing us her tennis shoes and Scott being the man and a half he is.

This section was my favorite, it kept me going all night. It was candy for everybody, not just the kids.

Gabriella had her Quinceañera this February,
her family and friends attended the mass at St. Monica's Church and then the reception at The Hotel Arizona in downtown Tucson.

Lauren & Chris Engagemente Session

This time it was Lauren and Chris turn to have their Engagement Session
and they chose to have it at La Placita downtown Tucson,
with some colorful options all around we captured some very nice pics.

and while going down some stairs I asked them to stop 'cause I spotted this nice natural light coming from above, and we got these awesome shots:

Lupita won 7th place and I won 14th place in the Winter 2009 competition from
ISPWP (International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers)

particularly at the Gentle Ben's Bar at University Blvd. in the U. of A. Campus;

Being a 2nd photographer gives you the opportunity to move around and take nice candid pictures, but once in charge of a wedding working as the main photographer, it’s a whole new ball game. I must say Lupita trained me well setting an amazing example of how to be a professional photographer, and I was very fortunate to work with such considerate couple that made my experience a lot more enjoyable.
